Belagavi: A unique electronic device `sensible alarm’ designed by a 7th standard student of Kendriya Vidyalaya-II of Belagavi, Ayush Tammannavar has turned out to be effective in preventing littering of solid waste from garbages and dust bins. To give a wide exposure to the creative device of the boy, he was taken to Union Miinster for Skill Development Rajeev Prasad Rudy in New Delhi where his electronic equipment was presented.

Son of KiranTammananvar, Engineer in Belagavi Zilla Panchayat Engineering Section, Ayush demonstrated his device in front of the
minister and showed how it gives an alarm to prevent littering of waste from the bins. The minister appreciated boy’s creation and
wondered about his talent.

Earlier, the device also was shown to officials at DRDO, Bengaluru and senior officers in Belagavi including CEO of Smart City Project
Mulai Muhilan and Deputy Commissioner N Jairam. Member of Parliament Suresh Angadi gave a higher platform for the boy’s efforts by
launching his works in New Delhi. The same device is expected to be used in projects to be taken up under Smart City Project.
