The veteran leader is expected to give a boost to the ongoing JDS campaign in the region with a slogan `Karnatakakke e baari namma Kumarannaa.’ A mega JDS convention will be held at a spot l between Hubli and Dharwad in which more than 5 lakh people will take part, said JDS state spokesman, MLC T A Sharavan.

Another massive rally for women will be organised by JDS at Palace Ground, Bangalore on July 20 against the failure of both state and Centre to initiate measures for welfare of women, he said adding that a resolution would be passed at the convention and sent to PM Narendra Modi. The PM failed to keep his words on `sabka sath sab ka vikas’ as he failed to create jobs for lakhs of unemployed youths in the country nor did he do anything to bring back black money as he boasted prior to election. To promote the woman folk, JDS would soon start its various women’s wings across the state and appoint women district presidents, said Sharavan assuring that a farmers rally would soon be organised in the state.
