Belagavi: As not attended the court, the Special Court at Bengaluru has summonsed arrest warrant against Kudachi BJP MLA P Rajeev.

Rajeev, in 2016, had been to former Kudachi Congress MLA Sham Ghatage’s residence and allegedly abused him and his family members as the latter had alleged that he stopped supporting sugarcane growers by taking money from sugar factories. It may be recalled that Rajeev was agitating in favour of the farmers who were demanding for early payment for the cane they had supplied to the factories and suddenly stopped taking part in the protest.

Ghatge was not at home when MLA Rajeev went and abused his family members. Ghatge’s family has filed Atrocities Against Dalits Act against Rajeev.
